PG&E Came to Sebastopol in 1912

The Sebastopol Times editor wrote two full columns about the introduction of
modern electricity coming to town, we quote a part:
(and we wish we had more space to quote the Victorian flowery language used)

". . . George Swain established a lighting system in our divine little burg.
At that time Sebastopol was a little village of some 300 inhabitants. Now it
has some 1600. (PG&E) assures me they can serve them with such satisfaction
that Mr. Swain served 300.  PG&E says they have no larger wire than 12. No
other company can do it with a smaller wire than number 8.
