Hybrid Redleaf Crabapple

An unidentified Burbank hybrid with deep-rose flowers and small dark-red edible fruit, miniature apples usable without pickling.

It's thought to be a Burbank variety but as yet not typed to any known variety here or elsewhere. In spring it has beautiful red blossoms and its reddish leaves turn a bit greener as the season progresses. The small (about 1"), red fruit is perfectly edible raw, with no cooking or pickling necessary. Among the apples on the grounds this is the only crabapple.
